Here at Keepsake Labradors we care a great deal for all of our dogs. It is for this reason that we feel that all of our dogs deserve to be one of the most special dogs in someone's world. While all of our dogs are special to us, we realize that with our volume of dogs some of our dogs deserve the right to be in an environment where they can receive more one on one personal attention. While not all of our older dogs who have been retired from the breeding program are suited to adoption, many are. The reason some are not suited to adoption is that quite frankly, they have become too attached to us. Basically, adopting a retired breeding animal is a win win situation. It is a win for the potential adopting family, in that they receive a wonderful and loving companion animal. It is also a win for the dog being adopted in that they receive a home environment where they can receive more one to one attention than time often permits at our facility. In addittion to retired breeding animals, we also have young adults available for adoption from time to time. The reasons these dogs become available can arise from a multitude of reasons. For the most part the circumstances that bring this about are when we elect to keep two puppies from either the same or different litters to fulfill the same need in our breeding program. Since puppies are often times difficult to evaluate at eight weeks when they are ready to leave, by the time they are six months to a year old, one puppy has clearly surpassed the other puppy in terms of the ability to fulfill the requirements of the breeding program. When this happens these dogs are also available. If you are interested in either of these options or would like more information about either of these options please feel free to contact us at 724-482-4345 or e-mail us. A link to our e-mail can be found further down on the page. Thank you for visiting. Take care and have a pleasant day.

Currently we don't have any older dogs available other than retired breeding females. If you are interested please e-mail for more information.
